Conference Announcement / Call for papers

Sponsored and organized by Battelle, the Conference will focus on the theme Efficient Assessment, Effective Management, Successful Remediation, addressing the significant challenges associated with contaminated sediment remediation and management. The program will address innovative science and engineering approaches; management considerations, policies, and guidelines that affect decision-making; and the defintion and demonstration of remediation success. Robert Ballard, Ph.D., renowned deep- ocean archaeologist, will present the keynote address. Approximately 350 platform papers and posters will be presented in 34 specialized sessions and five concurrent tracks. Four panel/roundtable discussions will focus on some of the current issues of greatest concern within the sediment management community.
